Lara Kayode Co-Chairs INTA’s 2026 Annual Meeting in London

The International Trademark Association’s 148th Annual Meeting took place in London from 2 to 6 May 2026, and O. Kayode & Co.’s Founder and Managing Partner, Omolara (Lara) Kayode, served as Co-Chair of the meeting alongside Tanya Fickenscher.

The Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of intellectual property professionals in the world. This year’s edition drew more than 9,000 registrants from across the globe, with a programme spanning trademarks, patents, and the policy questions reshaping IP practice, reflecting INTA’s evolution into a broader intellectual property organisation.

As Co-Chair, Lara helped design a programme intended to resonate with registrants at every stage of their careers, from new professionals to long-serving IP policy specialists. Her role continues a long record of service to the international IP community: she chairs the INTA Global Advisory Council for Africa, served on the INTA Board of Directors from 2012 to 2015, and received INTA’s President’s Award in 2019 in recognition of a lasting career contribution to the Association.

For O. Kayode & Co., the meeting was also an opportunity to strengthen the international associate relationships that underpin the firm’s cross-border work between Nigeria, the wider African continent, and brand owners worldwide.
